The MScSpatial and Ecological Modelling in European Forestry represents the highest level of education in the field of forest sciences. The quality of the program has been recognized by the European Commission 4 times (2004, 2010, 2016, 2019) with the Erasmus Mundus status and seal Erasmus Mundus.

In addition, in 2019 it obtained a quality accreditation by the independent European organization AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs) based on the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area. (AQAS)

The Master's program provides academic education in the forestry sector and focuses on the international dimension of sustainable forest management issues. The program brings a global dimension to the existing educational markets in the forestry sector and nature management in Europe. In this programme, European forestry universities collaborate intensively to offer joint courses, as well as their current curriculum, based on centuries-old forest management knowledge and experience.

The MSc in Spatial and Ecological Modelling in European Forestry programme responds to the growing number of problems in forest and nature management at both international and national levels, which offer a whole range of new challenges and demands for policy formulation and management at international, national and European levels. The European vision is based on both professional experience and the results of forestry research..

Master's students who study the second year in Lleida will obtain the double degree MSc European Forestry (Finland) and Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Spatial and Ecological Modelling in European Forestry (Spain).
